The crown

My troublous spirit was assuaged
By the ambrosial zephyr:
The feelings haven’t lessened with age –
I’m loving you as much as ever!

The moment I extend a hand
Touching your shoulder with care –
I’m carried to a blissful land,
A magic crown on my hair:

It keeps me safe from thorny words,
Helps me through thick and thin and fatal –
I’ve got it as a just reward
For being true to self and faithful.
