Multicolour verse

Crimson flushes of dawn won’t colour
My tumultuous restless dream,

No ready answers will come out,
Turning up in the azure gleam.

What I need right here and now
Is flame-coloured and lilac nights!

The shagreen gloves are not allowed –
So you’d better put them aside!

All my mornings would turn but glacial,
And the eventide – balefully dark,

Summers – filled with cold desolation,
And my future days – yester-marked!

No sweeping whirl of detailing
Would get warm the frost nipped flesh…

Every day there’re more new mailers:
They are pinpricking me afresh

With the sharp blood-red colour corners
And the snake-like ligatured script,

Where words keep forming the mournful
Yet the fervent:
“I’ve lost my grip!..”

No way I could colour crimson
These pitch-black and star-studded nights!

Save me from my colourless dreamland –
Come what may, but just hold me tight!
