Hi!

I’d only need
a handful of the dew –
The cool autumnal dew
                      that chills my fingers
Which I’d get from the terrace…
                      I would linger
Before tiptoeing back,
                      awaking you!
Who was that wizard
                      from fey far-off lands
That tied you up
                      with silky charmed ropes?
When did you bend
                      under the heavy blows
Of fate
            and shadows of past regrets?
I can’t decipher words
                      that pass your lips
In sleep –
the same as I can’t ever pick up
All pearls from the sea bed…
             what were you drinking
That cast you
                       into such a leaden sleep?
And me, I’d stay awake
                       the whole night –
To magic up
                       a harp from all-time woes,
To gently pluck its strings,
                       as if to lure
Or wake you up…
                       Or, better yet, invite
To wake up
                       to the happiness and dreams,
To the Earth's attraction,
                       feminine in essence!
… I’d wash with dew your thundery brow
                        to raise you,
My “Hi!” being
                        as gentle as sunbeams.
