Generosity

Here we are, the mirrors are all smashed:
I can’t see my reflection any longer…

I could have hurt myself – but in a flash
A poem is born to get me stronger!

When new lines come, they are as bright as spring
That bursts with rose buds and tender daisies,

They bring the light of life – and give me wings
To join the prattling flight of birds at daybreak…

I’ll call to sea gulls: “Hiya, small-time crooks!
What’s up, and was the booty worth your effort?”

They’d answer: “Better let him off the hook!
He who gives all shall be repaid a tenfold!”
