Virginhood

It was as if each leaflet warned:
“A storm is brewing on!”

             I saw the azure overworld
             Through a writing-ink flacon:

The birds were circling in the sky,
In breezy air streams.

I saw the shoots of sunlight glide,
             I felt the mighty winds.

The tweet grew louder — until
There came a thunder-blast!

The ether breathed against my skin,
             My heartbeats strong and fast.

…The storm eased off, all leaves and sprigs
Washed clean, with no flaws…

             You made me blissfully fatigued,
In peace with my Eve's clothes.
