Yearning
…I’ve been living
like there is
no tomorrow…
…I’ve been through ups and downs,
and whipped myself ruthlessly —
to admonish the rest…
I’ve been washing in dew
of the rainbow
early in morning —
Reaching forth with my wings,
trying hard to hold on,
ever trying my best.
I had tried to enswathe
with the mist of a rain
my hot-spirited senses,
To put out the blaze
of my passions,
t’recover some poise…
I’ve been rushing about —
from one sea to another —
in a whirlwind of tension,
Looking only for freedom,
which means —
no love to rejoice…
…But one day, at daybreak
that had been
so quiet and crispy —
One could easily hear
the dew
as it’s dripping from leaves…
The thunder burst from on high —
and a rainbow sprang,
clear as crystal…
And I uttered Your name,
voicing my innermost
beliefs:
— Our Father!..
I — love:
all this world
You conceived and created,
I enjoy it again,
I have risen —
the lesson is learnt!..
I’m worshipping You:
press me onto Your heart,
oh Creator —
Hold me tight like you’re holding
the stars in the sky —
from sunset and till dawn…
Let me melt into it —
into primal
untamable nature:
Let me turn to the dust
that builds up
the Saturnian rings…
…Please allow me to love:
while we love,
our youth is perpetual!
Let me burn in the flames of my passion —
accepting
whatever it brings.
