Reflection in my Flower

...If my reflection could be read —
Would this be lust and inner fires?
I’m not alone in my desires —
Forbidden grounds are safe to tread…
Under my heart a flower lies
As an unborn yet wanted child:
Each petal incarnates delight
Awash with an aura, undefiled.
Intoxicating is the scent
That permeated me for ever —
Same way as Eve who used to spend
Her days in rosaries of heaven.
Oh Adam, taste the apple again —
You have partaken once your share,
And there’s no turning back:
Desserts await the one who fared
From bitter foods of endless Lent…
Restraint would only bring on sorrows!
While love is never sour — it’s meant
To be a beacon that God bestows.
…Under my heart the petals lie,
Innumerable and delightful…
Accept my best thanks for your love —
That’s all I ever needed rightly.
